#DearMe – A Letter To My Younger Self

Dear Me,

This is a letter from your much older, yet not any taller (but at least, more hilarious) self.

I remember being you at a young age and going through some pretty difficult situations & worrying about a lot of things, and I’m here to tell you that everything will work itself out.
Don’t be so concerned about what other people think or say about you, people will always talk. So you might as well do whatever you want, you’ll be happier that way. You were always pretty good about not giving into peer pressure, and should keep it that way. Do whatever you want to do and feel comfortable with, not because it’s what other people want you to do.
There are some people that you will lose touch with over the years, but the people who are meant to be in your life, will be. They will make the effort to be there for you and stay by your side, your most truest friends. Make sure you let the people who deserve to be in your life know how much they are appreciated, and never take them for granted. They’re the ones who will see you at your lowest lows, but still raise you up to your highest – your number one supporters.
Life is too short to be spending time trying to impress others, trying to be the “cool girl” that everyone likes & gets invited to every party, or to be in a relationship with someone that you should no longer be in.
Embrace yourself, and all your flaws. It’s what makes you – you.
There’s no one in the world exactly like you, and that’s a good thing. Don’t ever let someone tear you down and make you feel like you’re not good enough, because here’s a news flash:
You are and always will be good enough.

With Love,
Twenty-Three Year Old Murs xx
