Thailand ’18

Now unlike the previous times that I have traveled around the world, I decided to join a tour for Thailand. This decision was because my best friend was currently living in Thailand as a Tour Guide and I just had to jump the opportunity to take a tour and have HER as my guide! Hi Lish!!

When in Thailand .. Gotta get that bucket!
The tour I did was the 10 day Full Moon Experience, and wow.
Words can’t express the time I had in Thailand, I met so many amazing people, I learned a lot about myself, and had the best time I could’ve asked for with my best friend!
(even after an overnight stint in the hospital)

There were so many cool and fun activities that we got to do on this tour, more than I would’ve been able to accomplish on my own. You can check out the full itinerary in the link above, and see if it’s something that interests you! Side note: A lot of people on my tour just finished the North Thailand Adventure before joining the Full Moon Experience, and couldn’t stop raving about it. If you have the time & $, definitely take a look at it! My next trip to Thailand will totally be visiting the North side of the country.
Below is some of my favourite snapshots of the TruFam

To be honest, I don’t know if I will ever have another experience like I did in Thailand.
The activities and places were one thing, but the connections and relationships I built were what made my trip spectacular.

Full Moon Party
I don’t know if I’m just lucky or what, but the group that I had was amazing. It was a large group, and with that many people you definitely have a lot of personalities around. But we all meshed together so well, it was surprising and so great altogether.
I know that I have memories to look back on and friendships that will last forever from this trip.

There are too many things to do so I don’t think I can have top recommendations cause the list would never end. But if you like to party, definitely look at the schedule (including time of year) for Jungle Party, Half-Moon Party + the Full Moon Party. I’m all about having fun but please remember that you are travelling (and potentially solo), so be safe and smart about where you are and who you are with. Make sure someone from home knows your itinerary and make sure to have times to check in.

But the one thing that I will recommend and I can’t stress this enough, is to have travel insurance. I’ve never had to actually use it before, and I hope to not have to in the future but it’s a MUST when travelling. Doesn’t matter where and for how long either. If I didn’t have coverage, my overnight stay in the hospital in Koh Phangan would’ve cost me $2500. Ouch. Imagine using that money for your next vacation! More importantly, think about yourself and your health.

I know that I’ll definitely be back. Thailand was a trip of a lifetime, I know that it won’t be the same as this trip, but I’m open to new experiences and seeing more of this beautiful country.
Till Next Time! ❤
With Love,
Murs
