Hola! After a full busy week with lots of friends and celebrating, I was really looking forward to heading to Sayulita and really unwinding. While I am typically an extrovert, I actually think I’m more of an ambivert at heart. I need lots of alone time to recharge my battery.

We got a recommendation to stay at La Boheme, a cute little boutique hotel. There are only 8 rooms available to book. And if you’re anything like me, accommodations need to be safe, clean, and a good location. But apart from that I don’t need much else. While I’m travelling, I like to be exploring and don’t spend that much time there unless it’s for sleeping and showering! The rooms are small and don’t include a TV, but it was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The prices were very reasonable and everything was walking distance! The receptionist Regina was super kind and helpful. She even sent me a WhatsApp message to let me know about an accident the day of our departure to advise us of any delays that we may encounter on the way to the airport.

All of the food we ate in Sayulita was incredibly good, but Sur 38 was by far the best! Not only was it down the street from our accommodation, but the decor was very boho chic, service was fast, and there also happened to be live music the night we went. I definitely recommend to go here if you are planning to go to Sayulita!

Honorable mentions of restaurants include: Yah-Yahs, Miscelanea, Trattoria Tosacana

Sayulita is known for being a surfer town, so if you like to surf or would like to learn, this could be your place! I will say that it was very busy, could be the time of year or it could just be this busy all the time. Hot tip: Travel size baby powder is a game changer for getting sand off your feet and help to keep you feeling fresh on those blistering hot days at the beach!

The receptionist recommended that we check out San Pancho. She said that it is what Sayulita used to be like (10-15 years ago) before it became too touristy. Super quick taxi ride as a day trip!

The best way to end almost a 2 week trip. Slower days, quality time with the bride and groom, and eating my little heart out at so many different places!!
With Love,
Murs ❤

All the food looked sooooooo yummy!! And I wasn’t aware of the baby powder trick. Will definitely be using that next time I’m beachside. Murs knows all the tips and tricks.
